Balance is to be paid prior to the event beginning by checks, cash/ money order made payable directly to B-Yond Music or the DJ.

1. Additional Time: If Extended time is requested at the time of the event and is approved by the DJ, the rate will be $75.00 per hour. This fee must be paid prior to the extended time beginning.

2. Cancellation: If the event is canceled for any reason 7 days prior to the agreed event, a fee of $100 is due if no deposit was made. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by e-mail or the postal service.

3. Provisions: The client ensures that:
a. A 6-8 foot table will be set up within 25 feet of 2 three (3) prong grounded electrical outlets.
b. The place of the event is open and available to the DJ at least 1 hour prior to the start of the event to allow set up.
c. The place of the engagement meets all state and federal safety regulations and has any and all necessary music licenses and performance permits.
d. All outdoor performance, unless waived by DJ, must have a tent or similar overhead protective covering to prevent damage to the DJ’s equipment in the event of adverse weather conditions.
e. Reasonable steps will be taken to protect the DJ, his equipment and music collection from any type of abuse, theft or damage resulting from this booking. In the unlikely event of circumstances deemed by the DJ to present a real or implied threat of harm to the DJ, his equipment or his music, the DJ has the right to cease performance until the client has resolved the threatening situation.
f. The DJ reserves the right to deny any guest access to the DJ’s music and/or equipment.

4. If, due to death, sudden incapacitating illness, accident or other unforeseeable circumstances and/or acts of God, the act is unable to perform as contracted, every effort will be made by the agency (if so notified and if time & circumstances permit) to provide a substitute act (subject to approval by the client) to perform in place of the canceling act, at the same fee & terms. If no acceptable substitute act can be found, the agency and the act agree to refund any deposit that may have been made with no balance being due. Upon such refund, this contract shall become null & void, and the client shall have no further legal recourse against the act or the agency. If the act is late starting due to unavoidable detention (traffic, weather, etc.) the client has the option to add that amount of time to the end of the function at no charge or a deduction from the balance agreed by the client and the DJ.
